Because of their reliability and solid build quality, Fontijne presses offer a remarkably long
lifespan. We have a program available to upgrade older presses - 20 years or more is no
exception - with the latest technology.
100 years of expertise
We have close to 100 years of experience in designing and making the very finest laboratory
presses in the world.
We are certified
Our presses are CE-certified and comply with Machine Directive 2006/42/EC, as well as with
EMC Directive 2014/30/EC and Low-Voltage Directive 2014/35/EC.
Each Fontijne press is designed in-house by an experienced engineering team. All presses are built in our own factory in Delft, The Netherlands.
First rate service
Fontijne's service policy is aimed at keeping your press in the best possible condition during its entire lifespan. This is why we have skilled service engineers available that can be
deployed all over the world. We also have a full line of original spare parts available.
Why professionals choose our presses
Our presses use an advanced 2-column press frame to make sure that all samples –
regardless of temperature and pressure – have exactly the same thickness.
Fontijne presses are designed with the safety of the operator in mind and use safety facilities
such as a safety shield, an emergency stop system and fixed upper platen.
Thanks to the use of high quality and carefully tuned heating elements, Fontijne presses
offer extremely accurate temperature distribution.
It’s important to us that our presses are easy to operate. This applies to both our LabManual
presses as well as to our LabEcon and LabPro models which are equipped with a user-
friendly touchscreen operating system.
Precise force distribution
The rigid design of our presses allows precise force distribution over the full platen surface
as well as highly controlled pressure build-up.
Thanks to their compact design and limited weight, Fontijne presses can easily be
accommodated in labs of all sizes.
